Pioneering Energy Efficiency in Arkansas

RESNET (short for the Residential Energy Services Network), is the premier accreditation organization for home energy raters and home energy auditors in the country. With an emphasis on new construction, RESNET certified HERS Raters  analyze each element of home that uses energy and may contribute to energy waste or energy inefficiencies.

HERS, Inc. is an ENERGY STAR Partner and certified Verification Partner that can certify homes under ENERGY STAR Version 3.0.  A new home that has earned the ENERGY STAR label has undergone a process of inspections, testing, and verification to meet strict requirements set by the US EPA. ENERGY STAR certified homes use 15-30% less energy than typical new homes while delivering better comfort, quality, and durability. For more information visit the ENERGY STAR website.

The LEED Green Associate credential demonstrates a solid and current foundation in green building principles and practices. From marketers to lawyers, landscape architects to education professionals, and product manufacturers to policymakers, LEED Green Associates enjoy a broad understanding of sustainability that bolsters their careers and enhances their lives.

The Building Performance Institute (BPI) is the nation's leading contractor accreditation organization. Based on  building science and the "house as a system" philosophy, the focus is building's various components (building envelope, attic, basement, combustion equipment, ventilation sources) and the interrelationship between them to maximize a home's performance. This approach leads to greater energy efficiency, but perhaps more importantly to buildings that simply work better. For more information about BPI's standards, take a look at their Technical Standards for Building Analysts (PDF).
